WEDDING WEEKEND
FRIDAY | BY 6 PM
Arrive in Nainital
Take the evening to settle in, refresh, and soak up the mountain air. We’ve kept tonight entirely free so you can unwind at your own pace after your journey.
FRIDAY | BRIDE'S 5PM, GROOM'S 7:30PM
Mehndi
While traditional Kumaoni weddings don’t feature grand Mehndi or Sangeet ceremonies, we couldn't resist!
This is a completely optional event but if you are game, join us for a cozy, informal henna session—especially for the ladies!
Venue: Bride's side: Home address, Groom's side: TBC
Dress code: Dress casually and comfortably in whatever you like—and feel free to dress up if you wish—but do bring a warm layer as Nainital nights in November get quite chilly.
SATURDAY | 10 AM ONWARDS
Day Wedding
Venue: Balrampur House Nainital, About the venue
Dress code: We’d love for you to join in the colorful spirit of our Kumaoni wedding! Guests are highly encouraged to wear traditional Indian wear (like a Kurta, Lehenga, or Salwar Suit) or the traditional attire of your own culture. If you prefer, colorful Western formal wear is also completely welcome. We just ask that you avoid wearing red (reserved for the bride), black, or white to the main ceremony. In case you have questions or need help, please reach out to us!
Tentative plan:
10:00 AM Assembly of Baraat: Groom's wedding procession.
11:30 AM Varmaala: Bride and groom exchange garlands.
01:00 PM Pheras & Saptapadi: Sacred vows and ceremonies.
4:30 PM Vidaai: Heartfelt farewell of bride.
SATURDAY | 7:00 PM ONWARDS AT TBC
Evening Party
Music, toast and a feast under the November sky.
Dress code: TBC
SUNDAY | 10 AM ONWARDS
Farewell Breakfast
Join us for a cozy morning breakfast and warm cups of chai as we wind down our wedding weekend and bid each other farewell.
